Phase 1 and 2 of restoration work at the Grove Creek Mitigation Bank included over 6,500 linear feet of streams. The work was a combination of Priority 1 and Priority 2 restoration techniques on first, second and third order streams.
A residential project, involving 576 linear feet of a second order stream. The channel pattern, profile and dimension were adjusted to protect the adjacent trees and stabilize the stream. The project was landscaped upon completion.
Approximately 450 linear feet of a second order stream adjacent to an apartment complex had downcut and was eroding its mostly unvegetated banks. The pattern and dimension was adjusted and the banks were planted with native vegetation.
